We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team.
Job SummaryAs an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our residential properties. You will perform a variety of tasks including routine inspections, repairs, and installations to maintain our apartments in optimal condition. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and has a customer service-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of apartments and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
- Respond promptly to residents’ maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring timely completion and resident satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for tracking and billing purposes.
- Assist with preparing units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order; report any deficiencies or needs for replacement.
- Communicate effectively with residents regarding maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Collaborate with property management to plan and execute preventative maintenance programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, ideally in residential property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with residents and team members.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects).
