Position Summary
Under the direction of the Regional Controller, the Financial Analyst is responsible for the support of multiple sites to include integrity of all assets, inventory control, product costing, factory reporting and account reconciliations.
This position will support the Dublin and Southington plants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform month end close activities (journal entries, accruals analysis etc.), prepare profit and loss statements and detailed financial planning and analysis of operations to facilitate management decision making; assist as needed with monthly close and financial audit.
- Assist in the standards development process, track operational results and prepare management reports.
- Partner with plant functions to deliver productivity improvements, cost reduction plans, working capital improvements and capital efficiency.
- Support preparation and submission of capital expenditure requests; provide analysis of spend and ROI.
- Provide quality financial analysis to operational and financial managers based on a thorough understanding of each of the plants to ensure management has information and understanding needed to make effective business decisions.
- Monitor plant operating financial status against plans; identify and resolve variances.
- Compile information and coordinate creation of annual plant budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in development of product cost standards.
- Work closely with operations team to provide meaningful systems reviews and financial analysis of the business.
- Compile and maintain real time, weekly/monthly operational metrics. Provide to plant leadership to ensure each is updated on company performance and progress to goals.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external financial standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, directed or required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint), with a heavy emphasis on Excel functionality.
- Overall understanding of accounting functions, month end close, account reconciliations, subledger reports, reserves analysis, balance sheet and profit and loss statements
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to thrive working under deadlines and toward specific goals.
- Ability to work independently and cohesively with others.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
- 3 to 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Work in team oriented, fast-paced, challenging office environment.
- Extended hours at night or weekends may be necessary during peak processing times.
- Typically requires travel less than 10% of the time
