Position: Premier Banker- Southington- Main Street

Job Summary

The Premier Banker is an experienced banker who serves as the primary contact for a complex portfolio of mass affluent clients. The role focuses on growing, deepening, and retaining client relationships by delivering TD’s model of convenience, sales, and advice through a personalized, connected experience.

Responsibilities
  • Grow, deepen, and retain strong relationships with a mass affluent book of business by proactively managing and addressing banking needs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and in-depth knowledge in banking and credit products, explaining solutions fluently to clients and acting as liaison with internal partners (small business, wealth, commercial, lending).
  • Acquire, retain, and deepen relationships with new mass affluent clients through referrals, leads, and outbound prospecting.
  • Proactively engage in client outreach via phone, email, appointments, and other means; conduct needs‑based conversations, review financial information, suggest solutions, and coordinate introductions with appropriate partners.
  • Deliver excellent client service, review moderately complex client concerns, and appropriately escalates banking related issues or risks.
  • Adhere to all relevant Retail/Wealth policies, procedures, FINRA and regulatory banking requirements.
  • Engage in conversations with clients about loan products; facilitate application intake while maintaining an active NMLS registration.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partners through ongoing meetings and collaboration to identify areas for relationship deepening.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to bank staff on effective methods to articulate the program’s value and refer mass affluent clients.
  • Implement TD’s client Identification Program (CIP) with associated due diligence requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to TD Bank & TD Wealth policies, procedures, AML procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED (required);
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years financial/banking experience.
  • Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE);
    Life & Health license preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with retail and small business banking; experience interacting with Mass Affluent and high net worth clients.
  • Consultative sales experience required.
  • Active registration status with NMLS upon hire.
  • Understanding and experience with loan product application intake.
  • Strong client service skills and ability to conduct routine and multi‑step transactions.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with client relationship tools and ability to use them to engage in needs‑based conversations.
  • High energy level, self‑starter, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Accountabilities & Regulatory Requirements
  • Position is classified as Loan Originator under Regulation Z and SAFE Act; must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with NMLS.
  • Must meet satisfactory results on a criminal and credit check and comply with required certification statements.
Physical Requirements
  • Perform sedentary office work, operating standard office equipment, standing, walking, lifting 25 lbs.
  • Occasional domestic travel; no international travel required.
