CT / X-Ray Technologist – Southington, CT

Contract Duration: 12 Weeks (03/23/2026 – 06/20/2026)

Shift: 2nd Shift (PM) | 40 Hours/Week (8hr or 10hr options available)

Schedule: Monday–Friday with every other weekend responsibility.

Job Summary

Seeking a versatile dual-modality CT and X-Ray Technologist. This role is essential for maintaining evening diagnostic capabilities at this community-focused site. You will be responsible for high-quality imaging across both modalities, supporting Emergency Department volume and inpatient needs. The ideal candidate is a technical "utility player" capable of operating GE hardware and navigating the Epic/Sectra software environment independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dual-Modality Imaging: Seamlessly transition between performing routine X-rays and complex CT scans based on department volume.
  • CT Protocols: Operate the GE Revolution Scanner to perform head, body, and musculoskeletal scans. You must be proficient in adjusting algorithms and protocols on the fly to produce high-resolution, low-noise images.
  • Contrast Management: Safely administer iodinated contrast using the Med Rad Stellant Injector, ensuring proper timing for arterial and venous phases and monitoring for extravasation at the injection site.
  • X-Ray Procedures: Conduct diagnostic radiographic exams using stationary and mobile equipment for orthopedic, pulmonary, and trauma assessments.
  • Data & Workflow Management: Utilize Epic EMR for patient tracking and Sectra PACS for advanced 3D/MPR reconstructions, vessel analysis, and image synchronization.
  • Operational Flexibility: Maintain the ability to flex to 3rd shift if needed and participate in holiday call rotations.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Certification:
    • ARRT (R) – Required.
    • ARRT (CT) – Required.
  • Licensure: Valid Connecticut State Radiographer License – Required.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience with GE Scanners (specifically the Revolution series) and Med Rad Stellant Injectors.
    • Proficiency in Epic and Sectra PACS (VNA/Rapid Connect).
  • Life Support: Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
Unit & Facility Details
  • Location: Southington, CT 06489.
  • Shift Times: 2nd shift (likely 15:00–23:30 or 13:00–23:30 for 10-hour shifts).
  • Team Dynamic: Small campus environment requiring high independence and the ability to work without immediate on-site peer supervision during the evening.
Financial & Logistics Notes
  • Shift Details: 5x8s or 4x10s available. Every other weekend is a strict requirement.
  • On-Call: Possible holiday call requirement.
  • Submissions: Maximum of 10 total submissions; vendor limit of 3.
