Hospice Patient Volunteer Job Posting
Volunteer Responsibilities- Engage in conversation with patients.
- Read to a patient.
- Look at pictures together.
- Share music or videos on their phones.
- Provide a compassionate presence or other activities.
- At least 18 years old.
- Able to commit for one year to the program.
- Able to commit to at least 4 hours per week.
- Ability to listen deeply, interest in and compassion for others, good boundaries and self-care, and meet people where they’re at in energy and tone.
- Online training takes approximately 20 hours and is personally enriching, focusing on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy.
- No close death in the last year.
