We are seeking an operational Regional Supply Chain Manager to lead and synchronize our statewide network of 10 construction materials, supplies, and equipment distribution branches across Connecticut. In this role, you will utilize Epicor Eclipse ERP to manage complex product catalogs, multi-branch replenishments, and strategic buying. Additionally, you will oversee our heavy‑duty local delivery fleet consisting of commercial flatbed trucks configured with either self‑unloading knuckle booms or truck‑mounted Moffett forklifts.
The ideal candidate balances high‑level digital asset management with practical, boots‑on‑the‑ground leadership to guarantee flawless, job‑site deliveries for our customers.
- Synchronize 10 Regional Branches:
Orchestrate inventory balancing and high‑volume Multi‑Branch Transfers (MBTs) across all 10 Connecticut facilities to ensure localized material and equipment availability. - Master Epicor Eclipse Purchasing:
Leverage the Epicor Eclipse ERP to dictate purchasing queues, forecast diverse product demands—ranging from bulk construction supplies to high‑turnover tools—and automate multi‑location replenishment schedules. - Manage and Improve Core Inventory KPIs:
Establish, monitor, and take accountability for regional inventory health by driving improvements across specific performance metrics:- Days Sales of Inventory (DSI):
Lower the average number of days cash is tied up in stock across all facilities. - Inventory Turns:
Increase asset velocity and turnover rates to maximize working capital efficiency. - Item Outs by Branch:
Maintain a strict zero‑out strategy on core stocked items, tracking and minimizing stockout occurrences, location by location. - Economic On‑Hand Quantities (EOQ):
Optimize order frequencies and safe stocking thresholds to balance carrying costs against ordering expenses.
- Days Sales of Inventory (DSI):
- Manage Equipment & Serialized Inventory:
Maintain precise ledger controls over high‑value construction equipment, power tools, and machinery, ensuring accurate serial number tracking within the ERP. - Control Aged and Legacy Inventory:
Audit the 10‑branch network to identify slow‑moving supplies, obsolete tools, and discontinued legacy building materials. Design and execute markdown, transfer, or liquidation strategies to clear warehouse and yard space. - Mitigate Excess Stock Accumulation:
Establish proactive ERP triggers and threshold alerts within Eclipse to prevent over‑purchasing. Rapidly reallocate unexpected bulk surpluses or canceled project supply orders to branches with higher local demand. - Govern High‑Value Material Security:
Oversee strict cyclical auditing, secure storage protocols, and tracking measures for high‑value tools, equipment, specialized components, and premium materials to minimize shrinkage. - Manage Specialized Fleet Operations:
Direct the routing, tracking, and asset utilization of a commercial flatbed fleet split between vehicle‑mounted Moffett forklifts and mechanical knuckle boom unloading systems. - Optimize Local Delivery & Dispatch:
Utilize native Eclipse dispatch tools or integrated logistics software like Epicor Elite EXTRA to maintain real‑time route optimization and high‑accuracy Proof of Delivery (POD) loops. - Enforce CDL Safety & Compliance:
Oversee commercial driver qualification files, strict Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). compliance, vehicle maintenance schedules, and FMCSA safety protocols for all CDL‑rated staff. - Execute Job‑Site Drop Strategies:
