Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Southlake, Texas. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to key financial operations and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and a proven ability to manage complex tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

- Prepare and review journal entries to maintain compliance and accuracy.

- Perform thorough balance sheet flux analysis and compile comprehensive reports.

- Lead small-scale accounting projects, including resolving foreign exchange discrepancies and cleaning up account balances.

- Monitor and manage open items to ensure timely resolution.

- Identify and address intercompany balance discrepancies, ensuring alignment across entities.

- Support and drive the month-end close process by obtaining status updates and ensuring deadlines are met.

- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, guiding teams towards project completion and addressing outstanding tasks.

- Utilize Hyperion and Smart View to execute financial tasks and analyses efficiently.

- Collaborate with peers to deliver on assigned project objectives while managing concurrent tasks. Requirements - Extensive experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Solid understanding of SAP systems and financial tools.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage small-scale projects or initiatives.

- Strong skills in identifying and resolving intercompany discrepancies.

- Ability to facilitate and drive progress in cross-functional meetings and teams.

- Familiarity with Hyperion and Smart View for financial reporting and analysis.

- Effective communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
