This role will be a key member of the accounting leadership team, responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, supporting the close and reporting process, and driving improvements to systems, workflows, and internal controls. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, people leadership experience, and a hands‑on approach in a fast‑paced environment.
This position offers visibility across finance, meaningful ownership of accounting processes, and the opportunity to help scale and modernize the accounting function.
- Oversee core accounting operations, including revenue, accounts payable and accruals, accounts receivable, R&D accounting, Cap Ex, OpEx, and general ledger
- Support monthly, semi‑annual, and annual close and financial reporting processes
- Assist with treasury and cash management activities, including related accounting entries
- Design, implement, and continuously improve standardized accounting workflows and processes
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Assist with compliance related to local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare responses for annual audits and interim reviews
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher
- 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a people‑management role
- CPA strongly preferred; public accounting and Big 4 experience a plus
- Exposure to taxation and regulatory reporting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
