Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This individual will work closely with leadership while helping maintain accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with the development of scalable accounting processes across multiple business entities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, experience operating in a fast-moving environment, and the ability to mentor junior accounting staff while remaining hands‑on in daily accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage month-end and year-end close processes across multiple business units
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate cash‑basis accounting records and financial reporting
- Assist with sales tax compliance and filings
- Prepare audit work papers and collaborate with external auditors
- Support intercompany accounting and consolidation activities
- Analyze financial data and assist leadership with reporting needs
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls as the organization scales
- Mentor and support junior accounting team members
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operational and executive leadership teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of technical accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support team members
- Healthcare, pharmacy, multi‑entity, or high‑growth company experience is a plus
