What You Will Be Doing:

The CIP Project Specialist provides specialized administrative and project coordination support for the City’s Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and departmental construction projects. This position helps ensure successful project delivery by coordinating schedules, maintaining project documentation, tracking budgets and project progress, supporting stakeholder communication, and assisting with project controls. Serving as a key liaison between City departments, consultants, contractors, and the public, the Project Specialist helps keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward.

The role also offers opportunities to assist with and coordinate smaller‑scale construction and facility improvement projects under the guidance of department leadership.

What You Bring To Us:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A post‑secondary degree in construction management technology, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting capital improvement projects, construction activities, facilities, or public sector projects is highly desirable.
  • Detail‑oriented and the ability to be successful working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
