Job SummaryWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sr. Project Manager, Construction to join our team in our Dallas/Fort Worth market. This position coordinates and implements the construction activities associated with all assigned Development and Redevelopment projects for Kite Realty within the assigned market(s).
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring, controlling and reporting project costs related to approved budget.
- Monitor progress of construction activity in accordance with approved project schedule.
- Coordinate construction activity with Contractor and Kite Associates.
- Coordinate the maintenance of a diary including photos of construction activity.
- Monitor and assist with required information (RFI's) between Contractor and Design Consultants.
- Assist in the review of monthly pay requests for % completion, lien waivers, etc.
- Initiate the scheduling and pricing of owner-directed changes.
- Responsible to provide technical and procedural construction direction to the Kite Team.
- Responsible for following all department policies and procedures.
- Other tasks or duties as delegated by the Director, Construction Services.
- Travel expectation of 25-35% or as required by project assignments for "on site" assistant.
- Monitor and review on‑site testing companies' progress on a daily basis or when required.
- Requires a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in the management of construction projects, preferably with retail projects. Mixed‑use construction desired.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Technical knowledge and experience working with electrical and HVAC required.
- Understanding of building materials and budgets.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Able to read building plans and details.
- Ability to determine and quickly recognize problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Project, Work, and Excel. Experience using Procore and Bluebeam highly desired.
