Job Description
Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University is hiring adjunct faculty to teach STAT
211 – Statistics with Aviation Applications in person at the DFW‑Southlake, TX campus.
- Apply basic descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Identify types of data and sampling techniques.
- Compute and interpret measures of central tendency and dispersion.
- Teach elementary probability, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and linear regressions.
ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. New adjuncts may work from any U.S. state except California.
Qualifications- Doctor’s or Master’s degree in a teaching discipline, or a Master’s degree with a concentration in a teaching discipline (minimum 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline).
- Degrees in Statistics (MS or PhD), Statistics Education, or Biostatistics.
- Related disciplines:
Mathematics, Operations Research, Social Science (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Health).
