Role Description

The Art Instructor role is a part-time, on-site position based in Southlake, TX. The instructor will lead drawing and painting classes, demonstrating techniques aligned with classical European methods and guiding students of varied skill levels through structured exercises and projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and materials, setting up and maintaining a clean, organized studio environment, and providing individualized feedback to support each student's artistic growth.

The Art Instructor will also assist with curriculum refinement, contribute to workshops and special programs, and help create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere for both individual students and corporate groups.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Curriculum Development skills for planning and delivering effective art instruction.
  • Candidates should possess Painting and Drawing skills with a solid understanding of classical techniques.
  • Candidates should possess comprehensive Art knowledge, including composition, color, value, form, and art materials.
  • Experience teaching diverse age groups and skill levels in a studio or classroom setting is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, patience, and ability to provide clear, constructive feedback are important.
  • A degree in Fine Art or related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends within studio hours and to support workshops or special events as needed.
