Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Payment Operations Analyst to join our team in Southlake, TX. This role is critical to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting client onboarding. You will collaborate with finance, operations, and client services teams to maintain smooth payment workflows and deliver an exceptional client experience. Success in this role requires precision, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to empathize, understand client needs, and navigate internal team challenges to build trust and provide thoughtful support.
Key Responsibilities Payment Processing & Reconciliation- Manage daily payment operations, including ACH, wire transfers, and card transactions.
- Perform reconciliations between internal systems and bank statements.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex payment issues.
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when assisting clients with payment‑related concerns.
- Communicate clearly and proactively to ensure client satisfaction.
- Support new client onboarding for payment workflows, ensuring smooth setup and compliance.
- Provide training and guidance on payment processes and tools.
- Ensure adherence to payment policies, regulatory standards, and fraud prevention measures.
- Assist in audits and reporting for compliance purposes.
- Analyze payment trends and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in payment operations, treasury, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of payment systems (ACH, SWIFT, wires) and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or payment platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client‑first mindset.
- Experience with payment automation tools or fintech platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NACHA, PCI DSS).
- SQL or data analytics experience is a plus.
