Recruit: 69,813.88 + benefits (while attending Police Academy). Upon Police Academy Graduation: 86,499.40 + benefits. Recruit and Lateral Officers are eligible for a $10,000 HIRING INCENTIVE! Recruit: 69,813.88 + benefits (while attending Police Academy). Upon Police Academy Graduation: 86,499.40 + benefits. Recruit and Lateral Officers are eligible for a $10,000 HIRING INCENTIVE! Lateral hires will receive 50% of the incentive when hired and 50% upon completion of the FTO program.
New hires (Recruits) will receive 50% of the incentive when hired, 25% upon police academy graduation, and 25% upon completion of the FTO program. Employees who receive an incentive and voluntarily leave City employment prior to their third anniversary will be required to pay back the incentive.
Testing Dates & Schedule
- Written Test:
By invitation only. Monday, August 31, 2026. (casual/workout attire) - Physical Agility Test:
By invitation only. Monday, August 31, 2026 - Immediately following the written exam (with a score of 70% or higher).
- Interactive Video Simulation Exercise & Panel Interview:
Those who pass the written exam and physical agility test will be scheduled for an interactive video simulation exercise and panel interview. These will begin the afternoon of August 31st and run through the rest of the week, as needed. - Priority will be given to those traveling from out of state.
