About the Role

Womens Integrated Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Triage Medical Assistant to join our dedicated womens health team. This is a critical role that serves as the first clinical point of contact for our patients, assessing and prioritizing their medical needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform telephonic and electronic triage by assessing patient symptoms and concerns to determine the urgency of their needs.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other staff members to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide patient education and medical advice based on established clinical protocols and provider instructions.
  • Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care coordination in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Manage incoming patient messages and prescription refill requests, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments based on patient acuity and urgency.
  • Process lab results and other patient correspondence as directed by the provider.
  • Handle sensitive patient information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office, with OB/GYN experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience with telephone triage is a plus.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and Electronic Health Records (EHR) is essential; experience with [Greenway Intergy] is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to actively listen and convey information with clarity and compassion.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess patient needs accurately.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a high-volume clinical setting.
