Description
This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Harrell Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
The Director of Sales and Marketing will develop, implement, and maximize the business plan with effective strategies through team leadership, direct sales, community outreach, integrated marketing, and revenue management. This person will ensure effective internal and external communication with clients, associates, and ownership, and our community. The Director of Sales and Marketing will direct the solicitation, response, and negotiation efforts of the sales team while overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group, banquet, and catering customers;
along with development and management of all negotiated rates and accounts. The Director of Sales and Marketing has primary responsibility for maximizing total hotel revenues, including all rooms segments, food and beverage (including restaurant and bar revenues), and other ancillary revenues. Must provide attentive, courteous, and efficient customer service to all guests, clients, associates alike according to HHG and Westin Dallas Southlake standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, 6 years of experience in hotel sales/convention services management, food & beverage, or related professional area preferred.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hospitality and Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related major, 4-year experience in hotel sales/convention services management, food & beverage, or related professional area.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Hospitality and Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related major, 2 years' experience in hotel sales/convention services management, food & beverage, or related professional area.
- Given that our guests visit our hotels from all regions of the world, additional/multilingual ability is preferred to provide a personalized experience to our guests.
