Job Description # Security Analyst Apex Systems is currently hiring for a
** Security Analyst
** with
** a financial
** client. We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to support cybersecurity risk management for digital asset and cryptocurrency initiatives. This role serves as a key security liaison between business, engineering, and risk teams, ensuring digital asset products, services, and vendor partnerships comply with internal cybersecurity standards and regulatory expectations. The analyst will lead risk assessments, oversee vendor security posture, support audits, and help guide secure product development across the crypto ecosystem.
* ** 7+ years of experience
** in cybersecurity, technology risk, or related security functions.
* Hands-on experience with
** digital assets, blockchain technologies, crypto custody, or wallet/key management**.
* Strong knowledge of
** cybersecurity frameworks** (NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, FFIEC).
* Proven ability to conduct
** cybersecurity risk assessments
** and evaluate third‑party/vendor security controls.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate risk to business, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
* Cybersecurity certifications such as
** CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP**, or similar.
* Training or credentials related to
** blockchain, digital assets, or cryptocurrency security**.
* Knowledge of
** smart contract risks, key management systems, and cloud security controls**.
* Experience working with
** GRC platforms
** and security governance processes.
