Workplace Services Engineering is growing at Schwab! We are looking for an Architect Lead who can help drive our modernization efforts specific to our Stock Plan Technology department. A successful candidate would be a servant leader who likes to stay hands to keyboard. They will be asked to design solutions, build tools, use AI to accelerate delivery, and develop products. This role will also provide mentorship to junior associates;

present designs to governance boards; and work directly with delivery teams.

What you have

• Design solutions, build tools, and develop products to support Stock Plan Technology modernization.
• Lead architectural initiatives from design to support.
• Incorporate SRE tenants into solution designs.
• Establish methods to optimize enterprise architecture alignment and drive tactical execution.
• Champion efforts that optimize system reliability through advanced life cycle management techniques.
• Guide transformative initiatives to optimize organizational capabilities for impactful results.
• Lead the execution of system design strategies for cloud-based environments.

• 10+ years of development experience with Java, Junit, Spring boot
• 8+ years of development experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, Type Script
• 5+ years of experience developing in database scripting languages T-SQL, PL-SQL
• Demonstrated experience leading architectural initiatives from design to support
• Experience incorporating SRE tenants into solution designs
• Establishes methods to optimize enterprise architecture alignment and drive tactical execution
• Champions efforts that optimize system reliability through advanced life cycle management techniques
• Guides transformative initiatives to optimize organizational capabilities for impactful results
• Leads the execution of system design strategies for cloud-based environments

• Experience developing with AI tools such as Git Hub and Cursor
