Construction Technology Analyst
GMi is looking for someone with a deep understanding of construction workflows, pressures, and vocabulary, ready to apply that knowledge to technology. This role is analytical and implementation-focused, not an IT help desk. The analyst will be the person who makes the tools work better for everyone.

- Serve as the primary administrator and internal expert for GMi’s field‑facing platforms, including GMi Central and related project operations tools.
- Troubleshoot system issues, manage user access and configurations, and escalante database‑level problems to the Construction Technology Manager when needed.
- Document platform behavior, known issues, and workarounds so knowledge is shared.
- Onboard field employees, project managers, and office staff to technology tools; create plain‑language reference materials, quick guides, and training sessions.
- Identify and close adoption gaps.
- Support the evaluation of new construction technology from pilot setup through feedback collection and recommendation.
- Gather requirements from users and translate them into clear problem statements.
- Work with the Chief Innovation Officer and Construction Technology Manager on cross‑functional technology initiatives.
- Maintain accurate user data, project configurations, and system records across field platforms.
- Identify process breakdowns where technology and workflow misalign, propose fixes.
- Coordinate with the Construction Technology Manager when field data needs to flow into back‑office systems or reporting.
- Meaningful exposure to construction field operations, project management, or estimating through experience, internship, or formal education such as a degree in Construction Management/Construction Science.
- Comfort learning and administering software systems without formal IT training.
- Strong communication skills across audiences: field crews, project managers, and internal technology staff.
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred.
- Organized and self‑directed – able to manage multiple open issues and prioritize without close supervision.
- Willingness to travel between GMi offices and job sites as needed.
- Experience with construction software platforms such as Procore, Vista, Bluebeam, or similar.
- Basic SQL or data skills or demonstrated interest in developing them.
- Experience documenting processes, writing SOPs, or creating training materials.
- Track record of being a go‑to person when something is not working.
