This role is Hybrid and candidates will have to work onsite 2-3 days per week in one of these 3 locations:
San Diego, CA, Southlake, TX or Branchburg, NJ. Overall Candidate and Project Profile:
We are seeking a Dynamic and results-oriented Systems Engineer with a proven track record in cloud computing and network infrastructure. We need a resource who is experienced in developing scalable and secure system solutions for diverse industries. Someone seeking to leverage technical expertise and innovation skills to drive impactful projects in a challenging environment. We are hiring 3 resources to implement this new SAAS security software into the Clients network.
These 3 resources will need to be based in San Diego, CA, Southlake, TX or Branchburg, NJ to work in a hybrid model and collaborate with the local teams. The primary objective of this project is to implement a secure Saas Product, into the clients network, using a SASE approach, and deploying it to sit on the clients cloud platform (Open Stack).
In this role, you and the team will be supporting the entire project effort from inception to completion. This project will be a full start to finish deployment effort, starting from a greenfield stage, so that level of experience is a big target for them.
- Designed and implemented or managed application systems on cloud platforms like Open Stack or AWS
- Designed and implemented microservices architecture on AWS cloud platform
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
- Implemented new application servers or services
- Implemented security best practices, including encryption, access control, and monitoring, to protect sensitive data in transit and at rest
- Designed and deployed enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to support high-volume data traffic
- Configured and optimized network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and VLANs to ensure efficient data routing and seamless connectivity
- Conducted network performance analysis in an application server environment and implemented optimizations to improve network latency and throughput
- Provided technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve network-related issues
- Provided technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve application server related issues
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to plan and execute application and network expansion projects, including data center migrations
- Documented application server and network configurations, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing
- Implemented CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker
- Conducted regular code reviews and provided constructive feedback to team to maintain code quality
- Spearheaded the migration of legacy on-premises applications to AWS cloud infrastructure
- Managed network security policies and implemented intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Provided technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve network-related issues
