Law Clerk; Part-Time – Family Law Firm

Job Description

Salary: $16 $ 19/hour, commensurate with experience and year in law school.

Beal Law Firm, a well-established family law practice serving the Dallas‑Fort Worth area for over 30 years, is seeking a motivated Law Clerk to join our team on a part‑time basis.

This role is ideal for a current law student who wants practical, real‑world experience in a professional family law office while continuing their studies.

• Assisting with drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
• Conducting legal research and organizing case materials
• Managing and updating case files and trial binders
• Answering and directing telephone calls in a professional manner
• Delivering and filing documents at local courthouses (as needed)
• Providing general administrative support to attorneys and staff
• Assisting with client intake and scheduling
• Supporting hearings or other legal proceedings when appropriate

• Current law student at an accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational ability
• Professional demeanor and willingness to handle a variety of office responsibilities
• Dependability, initiative, and eagerness to learn

• Part‑time, flexible schedule to accommodate classes and exams
• Hands‑on experience in family law with a Board‑Certified Family Law attorney
• Exposure to real cases and the inner workings of a law firm

Location:

This is an in‑office position at our Southlake office. Remote work is not available.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate in the range of $16 $ 19/hour, commensurate with experience and year in law school.
