We are seeking a Job Captain who can successfully coordinate projects and teams from concept through completion while meeting schedule, budget, and quality expectations. This role partners closely with internal departments and external consultants to support informed decision‑making across the organization. The position also offers opportunities to expand skills through participation in special initiatives and division‑specific projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with cross‑functional partners, including design and engineering teams, to support project objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple internal project teams and third‑party consultants.
  • Support design efforts by contributing to the development and evaluation of new options, styles, and architectural details.
  • Assist architectural operations initiatives by supporting discovery, planning, and early‑stage design efforts for new technology projects.
  • Lead and engage team members through open communication, sharing lessons learned, challenges, and best practices.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by identifying obstacles, asking thoughtful questions, and offering constructive recommendations.
  • Ensure assigned projects meet established timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, including construction documentation, site‑specific modifications, and design revisions.
  • Interpret and apply applicable building and construction codes.
  • Gather, analyze, and apply relevant project information to support effective decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout project life cycles.
  • Follow defined project workflows, standards, and development procedures.
  • Exercise independent judgment when addressing project challenges and priorities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and data.
  • Provide limited analytical support to assist senior leaders with planning and decision‑making.
  • Contribute to the development, refinement, and enforcement of standards and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical or vocational certification.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills with internal teams, consultants, and remote partners.
  • Solid understanding of architectural and construction principles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and coordinating people.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Five or more years of related professional experience, including at least two years in a project or people management role.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work onsite three days per week, with additional in‑office days as required by department needs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multidisciplinary projects.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and working with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
  • Background in residential projects is a plus.
  • Creative problem‑solver who brings new ideas and innovative approaches to challenges.
  • Ability to integrate new practices into established processes.
  • Experience with Sketch Up, BIM
    360, or similar design and collaboration tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture is preferred.
