Position Purpose
The Director, Integration Management Office (IMO), is responsible for the strategic oversight, leadership, and successful execution of all integration initiatives across the organization. This role leads the overall integration strategy and directly manages a team of Integration Managers responsible for executing operational, clinical, and administrative transitions related to newly acquired or affiliated healthcare practices, groups, or facilities. As the senior leader of the IMO, the Director ensures integrations are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational standards, growth targets, and quality of care goals.
This role serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership and operational teams, driving decision-making, resolving complex issues, and ensuring enterprise readiness for scalable growth. The Director champions a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence that supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values through every phase of the integration lifecycle.

- Develop and lead the enterprise-wide integration strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, operational capabilities, and clinical priorities.
- Oversee all integration efforts across the organization, managing timelines, outcomes, risks, and escalations for each initiative.
- Directly manage and mentor a team, providing strategic guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to drive successful outcomes.
- Partner with executive leadership and corporate development teams during pre-close phases to inform due diligence and post-close planning.
- Establish and maintain standardized integration frameworks, playbooks, tools, and reporting structures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all integration projects.
- Lead cross-functional governance structures to ensure appropriate representation, input, and accountability from departments such as operations, IT, HR, legal, compliance, revenue cycle, and clinical leadership.
- Monitor progress through KPIs, dashboards, and performance reviews, and report out to executive leadership with clear recommendations and insights.
- Proactively identify risks or roadblocks across multiple integrations and work collaboratively to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Act as a key communicator between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely, tailored, and effective communication for varying audiences including physicians, practice staff, administrators, and leadership.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the IMO and across the broader organization.
- Ensuring integrations are carried out in alignment with regulatory requirements, patient safety standards, and organizational values.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in healthcare administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare integration, operations, or strategic project management. Demonstrated ability to lead complex integrations, drive process optimization, facilitate cross-functional problem-solving, and implement sustainable operational improvements is required. Previous experience leading cross-functional teams and organizational change initiatives is required.
