Hiring, training and leading assigned Business Development Team (BDT) members, evaluating and adjusting performance, and developing processes that help improve sales productivity and drive company growth.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESHire, manage, through a dotted line reporting structure, and promote the career growth and professional development of Business Development Team members.
Perform sales field training of new BDT members.
Oversee and actively engage in the sales process to ensure that company sales objectives are met.
Ensure effective and systematic canvassing of sales territories.
Generate contract, job and equipment sales consistently at the company sales goal level.
Actively prospect high‑value accounts in Region to contribute to Regional sales targets.
Actively engage in professional associations to build relationships with key clients and high‑value prospects.
Assist BDT members with inspecting facilities of prospective clients for the purpose of performing Risk Assessments.
Aid in pricing service programs effectively and in a manner consistent with company standards.
Ensure assigned BDT members generates proposals at a consistent level necessary to achieve sales goals.
Ensure participation by assigned BDT members in Versacor’s Account Management Program.
Ensure that all points of the Leadership Principles are known and closely adhered to by all associates.
Direct your assigned BDT members to assist with accounts receivable for the branch as needed.
Conduct periodic meetings with your assigned BDT personnel.
Participate in marketing events such as trade shows and seminars.
Maintain high ethical standards in your dealings with staff, customers and suppliers.
Emphasize safety in all aspects of the sales process.
25% overnight travel will be required to successfully perform the duties of this role.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSA four year college degree
A sales background with sales or sales management experience
Must be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
Must be passionate about succeeding and winning
Minimum 5 years of experience in management
Must be able to create and perform power point presentations
Must be computer literate including a working knowledge of Microsoft office
Must be an enthusiastic motivator and team builder
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening, both initially and on‑going
Must be physically able to perform the assigned work, although reasonable accommodations will be made for disabled individual
