Specialty Alliance is seeking an experienced Risk Management Quality Analyst Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position Purpose The Risk Management Quality Coordinator supports the organization’s risk management and patient safety program by monitoring safety events, assisting with incident investigations, analyzing trends, and helping coordinate corrective actions. This role provides support to clinical practices and corporate teams to promote a culture of safety, strengthen event reporting, and improve processes that reduce harm and liability exposure.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
• Monitor and review patient safety events, incident reports, and near misses; identify trends and escalate potential risks to VP of Risk Management and Patient Safety.
• Perform preliminary data analysis on safety and risk metrics using reporting tools; assist in developing dashboards and routine reports.
• Participate in incident investigations by collecting data, interviewing staff (as appropriate), and preparing concise summaries of findings.
• Support and contribute to root cause analyses (RCA) and other risk assessments; help track corrective and preventive action plans.
• Collaborate with clinical practices, corporate departments, and operational teams to ensure timely follow-up and closure of reported events.
• Assist in evaluating patient complaints, grievances, and claims data to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of risk management databases and incident reporting systems; uphold confidentiality and data integrity standards.
• Contribute to compliance readiness by organizing documentation and supporting audits related to regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries of patient safety performance for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in interdisciplinary and committee meetings, document discussions, and track action items to completion.
• Support implementation of patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects across departments.
• Assist in reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and educational materials related to risk management and patient safety.
• Provide input into staff education efforts by helping develop training materials and reinforcing event reporting processes.
• Reach out to and communicate with patients and/or families to gather additional information regarding reported incidents, address concerns, and support service recovery efforts in a professional and empathetic manner.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Experience:

3–5 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (e.g., acute care, inpatient, or ambulatory settings).Experience in healthcare risk management, patient safety, or quality improvement required (e.g., incident review, audits, safety programs, or performance improvement initiatives).Strong knowledge of patient safety principles, risk management practices, and quality improvement methodologies

Customer service or patient relations experience is strongly preferred, including experience handling complaints, service recovery, or difficult conversations with patients and families.
