** Summary of Position
** The Electrical Systems Manager (Master Electrician) serves as Gateway Church's senior technical leader for electrical infrastructure across all nine DFW campuses and all buildings owned or leased by Gateway, ensuring worship spaces, classrooms, offices, and event venues remain safe, reliable, and fully operational for ministry. This role is also responsible for the fire life safety equipment/management for all campuses and buildings in addition to the elevator/lift equipment and testing.
This multi-tasking management role combines hands-on technical expertise and Master Electrician licensure with project management, team leadership, and vendor oversight, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and leading and directing the work of others. The role provides rapid-response support during weekend services and Main Ministry Events (MMEs) while building long-term preventive maintenance and capital planning systems across the campus network.
This role requires you showing up hands-on, staying grounded in the day-to-day work of keeping campuses running, and treating no task as beneath the role.

** Principal Responsibilities*** ## Electrical Systems Management:* ## Oversee installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and repair of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, emergency/backup power, low-voltage systems), Fire Life Safety, and* ## Elevator/Lift equipment across all 9 campuses and other Gateway-owned or leased buildings.* ## Serve as the organization's primary technical authority on electrical infrastructure, code requirements, Fire Life Safety, Elevator/Lift and system upgrades.
* ## Evaluate aging or at-risk electrical systems and develop capital improvement recommendations.* ## Supervise electrical work in renovation projects as assigned by department management.* ## Preventive Maintenance & Compliance:* ## Build and manage a preventive maintenance schedule for electrical panels, generators, transfer switches, Fire Life Safety, Elevator/Lift and related equipment at each campus.* ## Conduct annual performance reviews, inspections, and maintenance of all electrical systems in conjunction with the Director of Operations.
* ## Ensure all work meets National Electrical Code (NEC), local jurisdiction, and fire/life-safety requirements.* ## Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, permits, warranties, and system schematics for each site.* ## Assist in building the database and implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).* ## Team & Vendor Management:* ## Supervise in-house facilities/electrical staff performing maintenance, installation, and renovation work, and coordinate work assignments across campuses.
* ## Source, vet, and manage relationships with licensed electrical contractors and specialty vendors; review and approve bids and invoices.* ## Assist in the completion and maintenance of the approved vendor list and master agreements.* ## Provide on-the-job training and safety guidance to facilities staff on electrical best practices, maintaining a strong Safety-First mindset for all personnel and anyone near active maintenance, installation, or renovation work.
** Campus Support & Emergency Response:*** ## Provide rapid response and troubleshooting support during weekend services, MMEs, and special events across the campus network.* ## Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours electrical emergencies.* ## Coordinate with campus facilities leads and other departments (Building Services, IT, Comms, and others) to prioritize and schedule work with minimal disruption to ministry activities.* ## Maintain communication with leadership, peers, and other Building Services staff as necessary.
** Budget & Planning:*** ## Develop and manage the annual electrical systems budget, including preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, Fire Life Safety, Elevator/Lift and capital projects.* ## Assist in pricing and budgeting of several projects throughout the year.* ## Forecast equipment lifecycle needs and support long-range facilities planning across all campuses.* ##
