Encore Mechanical is one of Texas' premier specialists in advanced HVAC and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. As demand for our services continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced VRF / Refrigerant Piping & Duct Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects throughout the DFW market.

What You'll Do

As Superintendent, you'll oversee field execution from planning through project completion, ensuring crews, materials, schedules, and resources are aligned for success.

Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead day-to-day field operations for VRF, refrigerant piping, and ductwork installation projects
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements
  • Develop and manage Next Day Plans (NDPs) and Next Week Plans (NWPs)
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules
  • Partner closely with Project Managers, Engineers, General Contractors, and Owners
  • Anticipate and resolve field issues before they impact project timelines
  • Drive productivity while maintaining quality standards and budget goals
Team Leadership & Workforce Development
  • Supervise, coach, and support foremen and field personnel
  • Lead teams ranging from 5 to 20+ employees across multiple project phases
  • Conduct jobsite meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
  • Mentor future leaders and help develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals
  • Forecast manpower needs and support workforce planning initiatives
  • Foster a culture focused on accountability, safety, collaboration, and craftsmanship
Quality, Safety & Operational Excellence
  • Ensure all installations meet company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all jobsites
  • Monitor project progress and provide timely field reports and production updates
  • Maintain accurate records for labor, production, scheduling, materials, and equipment
  • Coordinate material procurement and project startup requirements
  • Manage company assets, tools, and equipment to maximize efficiency
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading commercial VRF and refrigerant piping installation projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerant distribution, and mechanical construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and project documentation
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling, workforce forecasting, and material management
  • Demonstrated success managing field crews and multiple jobsite activities
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and field decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and digital project documentation tools
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with sheet metal and ductwork coordination
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
  • Experience on large-scale commercial HVAC or mechanical projects
  • Strong background in mentoring and developing field personnel
  • Formal leadership, safety, or construction management training
