As a Senior Release Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless, reliable, and efficient delivery of software to users, directly contributing to the organization's commitment to high service reliability and customer satisfaction. You will be at the heart of transforming how new features, enhancements, and critical bug fixes are brought to life, minimizing disruptions and maximizing impact across critical financial systems.

Your expertise will directly influence the speed, quality, and stability of software releases, making a tangible difference in the operational excellence and overall success of the organization.

What You Will Do
  • Define and Optimize Release Processes: Establish clear, consistent, and well‑documented processes for software releases, ensuring all teams understand their roles and responsibilities for smoother deployments.
  • Drive Automation and Efficiency: Emphasize and implement automated, reproducible release processes, leveraging continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools to manage the software lifecycle from development to production.
  • Foster Collaborative Development: Work closely with software engineers to define the comprehensive steps for software releases, including code storage, building, testing, and deployment strategies, bridging the gap between development and operations.
  • Manage End-to-End Release Cycles: Oversee the entire release process, from creation and testing of software builds to efficient deployment, categorizing releases into major, minor, and bugfix updates to ensure continuous evolution without compromising stability.
  • Monitor Performance and Drive Improvement: Utilize metrics and observability tools to monitor release velocity and the impact of changes on system performance, making data‑driven decisions and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all release processes and ensure team members are adequately trained to uphold consistency and reliability.
Required Qualifications
  • Technical Acumen: Deep knowledge of software development principles, configuration management, test integration, and system administration.
  • Release Engineering Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the release process from source code to deployment, including best practices for tooling and consistency.
  • Automation Proficiency: Proven ability to automate build processes and develop robust CI/CD pipelines for safe, incremental deployments.
  • Observability Integration: Experience integrating observability tools to track release performance and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A strong willingness to iterate on and enhance release processes based on feedback and post‑mortems.
  • Operating System

    Experience:

    Hands‑on experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Version Control & CI Tools: Experience with modern version control systems and continuous integration platforms.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with public cloud platforms.
  • Enterprise Scheduling: Working familiarity with enterprise job scheduling tools.
  • AI Models: Working knowledge of AI models or AI‑driven development tools.
  • SDLC Best Practices: Experience with software development life‑cycles and best practices.
  • Programming/Scripting: Working knowledge of any programming and scripting language.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a top‑tier university, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Professional

    Experience:

    5‑7 years of support or developer experience within the financial services industry.
