Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in Soutlake, TX.

Schwab Technology Services helps shape how clients manage their money by delivering innovative, reliable technology that supports our commitment to broaden access to investing and financial planning. In this role, you’ll contribute to building and improving a distributed Java-based application ecosystem that uses modern microservices and micro-frontend patterns to deliver secure, accessible, high-performance web experiences. You’ll strengthen your engineering skills by developing Angular user interfaces (including Type Script, RxJS, state management, and component-based architecture) that integrate with Java back-end services—bringing thoughtful problem‑solving to design and implementation decisions that impact client and business outcomes.

You’ll work within an agile delivery environment where collaboration is essential—partnering with product owners, architects, and technology teams to clarify requirements, align to enterprise standards, and deliver resilient solutions. Your day‑to‑day work will span the software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through testing, release, and production support. Along the way, you’ll apply and grow your capabilities in areas such as front‑end engineering standards, design systems, observability, CI/CD quality gates, performance considerations, and accessibility practices—building judgment, adaptability, and confidence as you contribute to shared goals across the Sales and Service Technology portfolio.
