Senior Release Engineer

As a Senior Release Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, reliable software that supports Schwab’s mission. You will help design and evolve release practices that prioritize automation, stability, transparency, and continuous improvement—while working closely with engineering, operations, and platform partners.

What You’llDo:

• Define and evolve release processes by establishing clear, consistent, and repeatable practices
• Drive documentation and enablement across teams
• Build and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines
• Partner closely with software engineers and platform teams
• Manage end-to-end release cycles
• Monitor release health using metrics and observability tools
• Champion continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback

• 5–7 years of experience in release engineering, SRE, or software delivery roles
• Experience in regulated environments preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of release engineering and SDLC practices
• Hands‑on experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Windows and Linux environments
• SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo

• Git Hub, Git Hub Actions, Bitbucket, Bamboo
• Public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP);
  Snowflake exposure a plus
• Control‑M or similar scheduling tools
• Programming or scripting languages
• AI‑assisted development tool

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
