Aquent is collaborating with a leading financial institution that is at the forefront of innovation in digital asset custody and tokenization. This institution is dedicated to building the secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure necessary to power the next generation of financial services. Join a team that is pioneering new frontiers in digital finance, where your expertise will directly contribute to shaping the future of how assets are managed and secured.
Are you a seasoned engineer passionate about the transformative power of blockchain technology? We are seeking a visionary engineer to play a pivotal role in building and integrating the foundational blockchain infrastructure that underpins cutting‑edge digital asset custody and tokenization platforms. This is a hands‑on opportunity where you will operate at the intersection of blockchain protocol mechanics and institutional custody systems, directly impacting the security, reliability, and scalability of critical financial infrastructure.
Your work will establish robust foundations, ensuring predictable, observable, and resilient blockchain integrations, and enabling safe and consistent interactions with digital assets.
- Integrate core systems with existing Layer‑1 blockchain protocols, evaluating and extending capabilities to meet demanding custody, scalability, and resiliency needs.
- Deeply understand chain‑level mechanics including transaction life cycles, finality, forks, reorgs, and event propagation.
- Ensure all blockchain integrations are robust and reliable under stress conditions and production loads.
- Develop essential blockchain infrastructure services such as indexers, event processors, block explorers, observability tooling, chain data services, and APIs.
- Construct interoperability and cross‑chain integration components to enhance system capabilities.
- Guarantee that blockchain data pipelines are accurate, performant, and fully auditable.
- Support operational tooling vital for troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident response in a distributed environment.
- Contribute to the design and development of blockchain‑facing wallet services.
- Engineer transaction creation, signing workflows, and submission pipelines.
- Integrate with advanced custody key management systems, including MPC, HSMs, and sophisticated signing services.
- Ensure wallet implementations clearly separate protocol logic, robust security controls, and business rules.
- Collaborate closely with custody and security engineers to validate end‑to‑end transaction flows for utmost integrity.
- Share responsibility for critical custody‑related blockchain workflows, including on‑chain transaction execution, event monitoring, and reconciliation.
- Develop and implement chain‑specific failure handling and recovery patterns.
- Help define safe and secure patterns for interacting with smart contracts and token standards from custody platforms.
- Ensure all blockchain workflows rigorously align with custody policies, approval processes, and stringent risk controls.
- Apply modern engineering practices to build highly reliable, testable, and observable blockchain services.
- Leverage cutting‑edge AI tools to accelerate protocol analysis, code development, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain unwavering engineering rigor, balancing speed with correctness and safety to deliver exceptional quality.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands‑on experience building or integrating blockchain or distributed ledger systems.
- Strong understanding of Layer‑1 blockchain protocols and transaction life cycles.
- Proven experience building backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, Rust, Python, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively…
