Salary Range: $22.00-$26.00 + commission (salary based on experience)

Job SummaryChildress Heating & Cooling is hiring a full-time HVAC Service Technician with experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems. This role is ideal for a skilled technician looking for consistent work, competitive pay, and growth opportunities in a stable HVAC company.
Key Responsibilities- Perform HVAC service, repair, and maintenance on residential systems including air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
, including electrical and mechanical failures - Complete preventative maintenance inspections and tune‑ups
- Provide customers with clear explanations of repairs and recommended solutions
- Ensure all work complies with HVAC safety standards and local codes
- Accurately document service calls, repairs, and parts used
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician, HVAC Installer, or HVAC Mechanic
- EPA Certification required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Knowledge of heat pumps, AC systems, furnaces, and indoor air quality equipment
- Experience using HVAC diagnostic tools and service software
