Shipping Clerk - Domestic & Internation

WGI MRO Services is seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to support domestic and international shipments within our aerospace MRO operation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing international shipments through Fed Ex and DHL
, as well as domestic shipments using UPS, Fed Ex, and other freight and parcel carriers
. This position is responsible for ensuring customer orders, repaired aerospace components, and other materials are packaged, documented, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with customer, carrier, regulatory, and company requirements.

Strong attention to detail is essential, particularly when preparing international shipping documentation and handling high-value customer-owned aerospace components.

• Process international shipments using Fed Ex and DHL shipping systems and portals
  .
• Prepare and verify international shipping documentation, including:
• Packing lists
• Air waybills
• Certificates and supporting shipment documentation
• Country-of-origin information
• Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications when provided or applicable
• Export-related documentation
• Verify consignee, ship-to, billing, and freight-forwarder information prior to shipment.
• Coordinate international shipments with customers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers as required.
• Ensure international documentation is complete and accurate to minimize customs delays, rejected shipments, and additional fees.
• Track international shipments and assist with resolving customs holds, documentation requests, or delivery issues.
• Maintain appropriate shipping records for international transactions.
• Escalate potential export-control or regulatory concerns to the appropriate responsible personnel before shipment.

• Process domestic shipments through UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, LTL freight carriers, couriers, and other transportation providers
  .
• Determine appropriate shipping methods based on customer instructions, delivery requirements, cost, package size, and urgency.
• Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate expedited, overnight, priority, and time-critical shipments.
• Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate LTL and other freight shipments.
• Track shipments and investigate lost, delayed, or damaged deliveries.
• Verify customer-specific routing and carrier-account requirements prior to shipment.
• Package repaired aerospace components to prevent damage during transportation.
• Ensure customer-owned components are properly identified and protected throughout the shipping process.
• Follow applicable customer and WGI packaging requirements.
• Verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, purchase order information, and shipping documentation prior to shipment.
• Ensure sensitive, precision-machined, coated, or repaired components receive appropriate protective packaging.
• Identify and report damaged or improperly packaged material prior to shipment.
• Maintain proper segregation and control of customer material.

• Review shipment documentation for completeness before material leaves the facility.
• Verify that required paperwork accompanies each shipment, including applicable:
• Packing slips
• Certificates of Conformance
• FAA/EASA or other authorized release documentation when required
• Customer-required documentation
• Shipping labels
• Work closely with Quality to ensure required release documentation is present before shipment.
• Ensure no aerospace component is shipped without the required Quality and documentation approvals.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical shipping records.
• Scan and archive shipment documentation as required.

• Work closely with Customer Service, Quality, Production, and Operations to support daily shipment requirements.
• Communicate shipment status, tracking information, delays, and documentation issues to appropriate personnel.
• Prioritize shipments based on customer commitments and operational requirements.
• Support customer expedite requests and AOG/time-critical shipments when required.
• Assist Customer Service with proof-of-delivery and shipment-tracking requests.
• Proactively identify issues that could prevent an on-time shipment and communicate them before the scheduled ship date.
