Job Position Summary: Responsible for the assembling of individual parts into a finished product or component, following blueprints and instructions.
Responsibilities- Assemble assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelines.
- Conduct inspections to verify the integrity and performance of assembled parts, identify defects, and report them.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble parts with precision and adherence to specifications.
- Notify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other assembly line workers to meet production goals.
- Complete production paperwork and inspection procedures as required.
- Perform complex assembly tasks, potentially involving multiple parts or subassemblies.
- Assist with inventory maintenance, stock checks, and material tracking.
- Interpret and analyze schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to guide the process.
- Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Ensure all assembly tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to efficiency initiatives.
- Provide on-the-job training to new and existing employees as needed.
- Follow 6S procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Normal production environment with possible high noise levels, physical hazards from moving equipment, exposure to fumes, dust, mist, oil, cutting fluids, sharp edges, and forklifts.
- May require travel between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
- Ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
- Lift up to 30 pounds as required.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, and perform related movements for extended periods.
$22.50 - $32.25 USD
