Shift Differential: 25% for 2nd Shift
Overtime: As Needed
Experience Level: Mid-Level (3+ Years)
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

This role exists to support the production of precision aerospace components that require exceptional surface finishes, edge quality, and blueprint compliance before reaching customers.

At B&E Tool Operations, Burr Hands play a critical role in ensuring complex machined components meet aerospace quality standards through detailed finishing, blending, and deburring processes.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Deburr and finish complex aerospace components
  • Remove external and internal burrs using abrasive tooling and hand-finishing equipment
  • Blend surfaces and form radii to blueprint specifications
  • Work with magnification equipment and borescopes to inspect intricate features
  • Read operation sheets, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Verify dimensions and visual requirements using precision measuring tools
  • Complete production and quality documentation
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO
    9001 requirements
  • Identify and report quality concerns or discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

This position requires a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, particularly when working on complex internal features and aerospace-quality finishes.

Equipment & Tools You'll Use

You'll work with equipment such as:

  • 10,000 RPM air tools
  • Cutoff wheels
  • Hand-held motorized grinders
  • Abrasive deburring tools
  • Belt sanders
  • Wire brushes
  • Scrapers and files
  • Precision measuring instruments
  • Borescopes with up to 30x magnification

Materials You'll Work With

  • Aluminum
  • Titanium
  • Nickel-based aerospace alloys
  • Other aerospace-grade materials

What We're Looking For Required

  • 3+ years of complex deburring experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
  • Experience using abrasive finishing and deburring equipment
  • Ability to create full radii and blend surfaces to specification
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO
    9001 environments
  • Experience working with complex internal features using magnification equipment

Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range

$22.50 - $32.50 per hour (DOE)

Shift Premium

25% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
