The Quality Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Southwick, MA, responsible for ensuring that overhauled components meet all internal and customer quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measurement tools, reviewing documentation and certifications for compliance, and recording inspection results in quality systems. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions, identifying nonconformances, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to address quality issues.
The Quality Inspector also supports continuous improvement initiatives, adheres to safety and regulatory requirements, and helps maintain the integrity of WGI’s quality management system.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measurement tools.
- Review documentation and certifications for compliance.
- Record inspection results in quality systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Identify nonconformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Help maintain the integrity of WGI’s quality management system.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing is a plus.
- Skills in Quality Control and Inspection to verify parts and processes against specifications and standards.
- Skills in Quality Assurance to support compliant processes and maintain a robust quality system.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) and reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with aerospace or MRO environments and related quality standards (e.g., AS9110, FAA) is preferred.
- Ability to document findings clearly, use quality software or ERP systems, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Strong Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance
- Experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Additional technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing.
$35.00 to $42.00 - hourly rate is negotiable based on experience level
