Our client, a vibrant event catering company located in Soweto , is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Catering Event Logistics Specialist . This role is essential for ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of all catering services, managing everything from initial setup to final breakdown. You will work closely with the event planning and culinary teams to coordinate staffing, equipment, transportation, and on-site execution, guaranteeing that every event meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills and a passion for making events happen smoothly within the Gauteng region.

• Coordinate and manage all logistical aspects of catering events, ensuring timely delivery of food, beverages, and necessary equipment to event venues.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering stations, buffets, and service areas, ensuring presentation standards are met.
• Manage on-site event staff, providing clear direction and support to ensure efficient service delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Liaise with clients and venue managers to confirm event details, layout, and any specific requirements.
• Ensure all catering equipment and vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and ready for deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical challenges that arise during events to ensure minimal disruption.

• Proven experience in logistics, event coordination, or operations within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in planning and execution.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with staff, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
