Electrical Field Service Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Electrical Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support and expertise for their electrical equipment and systems across various customer locations, with a primary base in the Soweto area. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing installations and maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service. You will be an essential frontline representative, requiring a strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills to manage client relationships effectively.

• Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Perform installations, commissioning, and routine maintenance services for clients.
• Conduct customer training on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults in diverse operational environments.
• Prepare detailed service reports, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to address customer needs.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support roles.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as required.
