About the Role

Our client is looking for dedicated individuals to commence their careers as Apprentice Diesel Mechanics in Soweto . This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive training program focused on the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines and heavy vehicles. You will gain hands‑on experience under the supervision of seasoned mechanics, working with a variety of trucks, buses, and heavy‑duty equipment. We seek candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to learning complex systems, and a desire to contribute to the reliable operation of transportation and industrial machinery within the Gauteng region.

• Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines and related systems.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment.
• Perform routine services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake adjustments.
• Participate in the overhaul and rebuilding of engine components under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring all tools are handled safely.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures during all work activities.

• Grade 12 or equivalent, with a preference for mathematics and physical science.
• A strong interest in diesel engines and heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Good mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a workshop environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
