About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Industrial Electrician to join their team in Soweto. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial electrical codes, safety procedures, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. This position is crucial for ensuring the continuous and safe operation of all production machinery and plant infrastructure.
We are looking for a reliable professional committed to maintaining high standards of electrical work and safety.
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components for manufacturing machinery and plant equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments and schematics, implementing effective repairs.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and prevent hazards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently.
- Qualified and certified Industrial Electrician with a proven track record.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to work on-call as needed.
