About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanical Technician to support their operations in Soweto . This role is crucial for the assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all mechanical components and systems function correctly and efficiently, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our client's projects.

The successful candidate will possess strong practical skills and a commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of their work, supporting the engineering team in Gauteng .

• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective repairs.
• Conduct functional testing of mechanical assemblies and components.
• Assist engineers with prototyping, testing, and development of new mechanical designs.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company procedures during all work activities.

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification (e.g., NQF Level
  4).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar hands‑on role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and basic fabrication techniques.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
