About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing provider of sustainable energy solutions , is looking for an experienced Solar PV Installation Manager to lead their installation teams in Soweto and surrounding areas. This role is crucial for the successful and safe deployment of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic systems. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating installation crews, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining high safety standards on all job sites.
This is a hands-on leadership position offering the opportunity to contribute directly to the expansion of renewable energy access in the Gauteng region, specifically serving the Soweto community.
- Manage and supervise all aspects of solar PV system installations, from site assessment and planning to final commissioning.
- Lead, train, and motivate installation teams, ensuring high productivity and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and manage installation schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols on all installation sites, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure all installations meet technical specifications and company standards.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, and customer service departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Proven experience as an installation manager or team lead in the solar PV industry .
- Strong technical knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, battery storage, and electrical wiring.
- Experience with relevant safety regulations and best practices for working at heights and with electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Soweto and Gauteng region.
