About the Role

Our client is looking for dedicated individuals to join as Apprentice Welders with a focus on structural applications in Soweto . This apprenticeship will provide extensive training in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and the fabrication of structural steel components. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain practical skills essential for construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure development. • Assist certified welders in the fabrication and assembly of structural metalwork.
• Learn to interpret welding symbols and technical drawings for structural projects.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning.
• Practice and apply various welding techniques under expert supervision.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company and industry safety protocols .

• Grade 12 (Std 10) or equivalent education.
• A strong interest in welding and fabrication , with mechanical aptitude.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding environments.
• Good hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
• A commitment to completing the apprenticeship program and developing mastery in welding.
