About the Role
Our client, a specialist automotive workshop in Soweto , is seeking a skilled Automotive Diesel Technician to join their team. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in a variety of vehicles, including trucks and heavy-duty equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are running optimally and safely, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and adhering to high-quality repair standards.

- Diagnose and repair complex issues related to diesel engines, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and emissions controls.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups on diesel vehicles.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment to identify engine performance problems and mechanical faults.
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and components, recommending necessary repairs or replacements.
- Service and repair transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems specific to diesel vehicles.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards for diesel engines.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician or equivalent role.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine mechanics, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with diesel diagnostic software and tools.
- Experience working with various diesel fuel injection systems and emission control technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams related to diesel systems.
