Field Service Technician

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Field Service Technician to provide on-site support for their specialized equipment across the Soweto region and surrounding areas. This hands-on role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machinery and systems used in industrial applications. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service within the Gauteng industrial community.

• Perform installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on complex machinery.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and ensure rapid resolution of technical problems.
• Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or improvements.
• Maintain accurate service records, including repair logs, maintenance reports, and parts usage.
• Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and site-specific safety procedures during service calls.

• Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related trade.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably working with industrial machinery.
• Strong proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory of Soweto and surrounding areas.
