Senior Drilling Foreman

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Drilling Foreman to manage drilling operations at their sites in the Soweto area. This hands-on role is responsible for the direct supervision of drilling crews, ensuring all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures. You will be the key point of contact for daily rig activities, troubleshooting operational challenges, and maintaining high standards of performance and safety in the Oil & Gas sector for Gauteng operations.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of drilling crews, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Enforce strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Monitor drilling operations, manage equipment, and identify/resolve operational issues promptly.
• Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of drilling equipment.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks with the rig crew.
• Maintain accurate daily drilling reports and communicate progress to supervisors.

• Extensive experience in drilling operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Driller, Foreman).
• Proven ability to lead and motivate drilling crews.
• Strong understanding of drilling equipment, downhole tools, and drilling practices.
• Valid Well Control certification (e.g., IWCF Level 2 or higher).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging operational environment.
