Minimum Qualifications
- Washington State Administrator Certificate with K-12 Principal endorsement.
- Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrated successful administrative experience preferred.
- Alternative qualifications acceptable if the Board determines them appropriate.
- Supervise staff, evaluate classroom instruction, and collaborate with teachers to improve instruction.
- Promote high expectations, performance, and achievement among students and staff.
- Use computer technologies to enhance instruction, classroom management, and school administration.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary, integrated programs.
- Implement effective school practices through shared decision‑making.
- Operate efficiently, flexibly, and responsively to accommodate diverse needs.
- Establish effective relationships with students, staff, and the community.
- Promote a positive school climate where diversity is respected.
- Model integrity, ethical behavior, self‑confidence, courage, and a sense of humor.
- Listen, plan, organize, and delegate through effective communication.
- Create unity and respect in all relationships.
- Support and assess a learning program to continuously improve student performance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current laws governing special education and 504 students.
- Show knowledge and experience in implementing Federal, State, and district student discipline policies.
- Willingness to learn High Schools That Work key practices and promote school progress toward goals.
