Position Details
- DRK SPED Teacher - Kindergarten Push-Out/Inclusion
- Full Time, 1.0 FTE
- Starting ASAP for the rest of the school year; potential for renewal
Ampersand Therapy is hiring Special Education Teachers to support students at the Kindergarten Level in Spanaway, WA
. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed.
You'll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team.

- Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
- Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
- Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning
- Valid Washington State teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Fingerprinting through OSPI
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- School-based experience preferred, not required
