This posting is for two (2) positions, each position is .25 FTE.
The Bethel School District is seeking teacher applicants who have the potential to be leaders and innovative educators. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to deliver instruction based upon best available research and practices in teaching and learning.
If you are a current Bethel School District employee, you must complete an INTERNAL application. All other applicants, including current substitutes, must complete the standard application.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid and appropriate certificate and endorsements for Washington State required.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective classroom management.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully employ effective teaching methods.
Demonstrated desire and ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, students and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Training/experience in strings instruction with strong skills in leadership, organization and instructional strategies including assessment of student learning.
- Strong desire to achieve/maintain a high quality orchestra program.
- Strong musical background in orchestral repertoire.
- Strong technical knowledge of violin, viola, cello and string bass.
- Evidence of superior musicianship in classical stylistic interpretation.
- Evidence of good rehearsal and classroom management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Training/experience in motivating students of all abilities and directing age appropriate music productions.
- Experience in the use of digital technology in the music classroom, or a strong desire to learn.
- Dedication to professional growth opportunities.
- Ability to work as a team member (leading and following) in a variety of settings.
- Interest in supervising and/or collaborating on activities appropriate for assigned age-level students.
- Ability to maintain a sense of perspective and humor.
